The Department of Athletics & Recreation at Bucknell University is seeking applicants to join the staff as Assistant Women's Lacrosse Coach. This is a full-time, exempt, benefits eligible position. The Assistant Women's Lacrosse Coach is responsible for working closely with the Head Coach on managing and administering phases of this varsity intercollegiate sport program. This position is part of the Department of Athletics and Recreation at Bucknell University, a member of the NCAA Division I (FCS in Football) and the Patriot League for 23 of 27 varsity sports. Reporting to the Head Women's Lacrosse Coach, the successful candidate will assist with the duties associated with the intercollegiate lacrosse program. The candidate will demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to a liberal arts education, Division III athletics and an appreciation for and commitment to NCAA, Southern Athletic Association (SAA) and institutional culture. The candidate should possess good communication skills, strong leadership, and mentoring abilities. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, assisting with practice and game preparation, NCAA compliance, public relations, student-work supervision, recruitment of academically and athletically qualified student-athletes, and a commitment to the student-athlete's academic progress and degree completion. Along with coaching responsibilities, the candidate will be assigned additional responsibilities in the Department of Athletics.
This person, under the supervision of the Head Women’s Lacrosse Coach and Director of Athletics, assists in the planning and management of all phases of the intercollegiate women’s lacrosse program. The College of Wooster is seeking an Assistant Coach for Women's Lacrosse. This position assists in the coaching duties of the Women's Lacrosse program governed by NCAA Operating Bylaws. Oversees one or more specified areas of a sporting discipline or component of a team, and assists the Head Coach with all aspects of recruitment and training of student-athletes, and the total organization and administration of the program, as assigned.
The head coach reports to the Director of Athletics and is responsible for all aspects of coaching, recruiting, awarding athletic grants, scheduling, and managing the intercollegiate program within the policies of Newberry College, The South Atlantic Conference, and the NCAA Division II.
The Head Women’s Lacrosse Coach is responsible for the growth and development of the women’s lacrosse program by planning and directing the activities of the team. The primary duty of the Head Women’s Lacrosse Coach is instructing student-athletes in the skills and strategies unique to competition in the sport.
