To be singled out as an IWLCA All-American is an extraordinary achievement that deserves more than attention—it deserves commemoration.
The IWLCA All-American timepiece created by AXIA Time honors the student-athlete, and also the countless people who made this achievement possible – teammates, coaches and family.
Players of the Year
Four All-American student-athletes from each Division are selected as positional Players of the Year. Each Division’s All-American committee has also selected one of these honorees as the Player of the Year for each Division.
All-American/All-Region
Selection is based on the following criteria: Statistics, Contribution to team success, Strength of Opponents, Sportsmanship and Character. The IWLCA All-Americans represent the best athletes in our game, who compete with respect for the sport of lacrosse, their teammates, their coaches, their opponents and officials.
Senior All-Stars
44 players that have exhausted their athletics eligibility are selected from each Division and are divided into two teams: North and South, to compete in the Senior All-Star game each year.
Community Awareness Award
The Community Awareness Award recognizes those student-athletes who have contributed significantly to their community in a given academic year. These students have given their time and energy to support and develop athlete-community relations and have distinguished themselves from their peers.
