Gettysburg Lands at #1 in Division III Coaches Poll

2019 IWLCA Division III Coaches Poll – February 25, 2019

 

With 24 of 25 possible first-place votes, Gettysburg College (2-0) sits atop the first regular season IWLCA Division III Coaches Poll. Middlebury (0-0), TCNJ (1-0), Salisbury (2-0), and York (2-0) round out the top five. Washington and Lee (2-1) was the biggest mover in the poll, knocking off previous #7 Franklin & Marshall 10-9 to rise five spots to #8 after being ranked at #13 in the pre-season poll. The University of Scranton is the only new addition to the poll, clocking in at #25 following a 22-7 win against Messiah, who was ranked #16 in the pre-season poll.

There are a few Top-25 matchups to keep an eye on this week, starting with Thursday’s game between #5 York and #10 Franklin & Marshall. NESCAC play opens on Saturday, pitting #6 Amherst against #19 Colby, while #18 Ithaca welcomes #15 Cortland, Franklin & Marshall visits #23 Messiah, and Salisbury (#4) travels to Washington and Lee (#8).
