Smith College is seeking a highly motivated individual to serve as a graduate assistant for the Smith College Lacrosse Program. The position will start August 2019.

Teaching/Administrative/Coaching Awards for 2019 - 2020

Awards:  Scholarships range from free tuition to $10,000 annual tuition

Stipends: Work awards vary from $2,500 to $12,000

Description: Tuition Scholarships and work awards are available for individuals interested in pursuing a master’s degree with a specialization in coaching women at the intercollegiate level.  Candidates should have an undergraduate academic record of high caliber, and advanced skill and / or experience coaching/ teaching.  The deadline for applying to the program with consideration for financial assistance is January 15, 2019.

Employer Information:  The graduate program in exercise and sport studies prepares individuals to coach women’s collegiate teams or prepare athletes/teams in the Strength & Conditioning domain.  Recognized nationally for its excellence, our program received Level V accreditation from the National Association for Sport and Physical Education.  The program connects theory with practice by linking coursework with assistant coaching experiences.  All students are in residence for two years.

Opportunities include but are not limited to:

  • Research opportunities with Exercise & Sport Studies Department involving data gathered on scholar athletes.
  • Networking opportunities during site visits and continued education.
