IWLCA President Kathy Taylor announced that Dr. Izzy Justice will be the keynote speaker at the 2018 IWLCA Annual Meetings. Dr. Justice brings three decades of experience in Human Capital, Sports Neuropsychology and Business Consulting. He has worked with professional athletes, coaches, and teams in the NBA, MLB, Ironman, Tennis, NASCAR, PGA Tour, Olympics as well as at the collegiate level at dozens of programs/sports.
Dr. Justice will deliver his presentation, “Achieving High Performance with Emotional Intelligence (EQ),” during the keynote dinner held on Wednesday, November 14 at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort. He will also conduct a follow-up session on Thursday during the professional development roundtables for coaches who want to dig deeper into the topic.
“We are incredibly fortunate to have Dr. Justice as our keynote speaker,” said Taylor. “His insights on using emotional intelligence to enhance your effectiveness as a coach and a leader will benefit our membership and provide them with something tangible they can implement in their own programs.”
Dr. Justice is also an executive coach to dozens of senior executives in major companies leveraging Emotional Intelligence as the key competency. He has four degrees including a Doctorate in EQ. He has authored seven books and his free weekly blog is read worldwide.
Lyndsey Boswell, head coach at High Point University, has worked with Dr. Justice since 2016. “Our program has benefited greatly from our relationship with Dr. Izzy Justice. He has supported me in my role as a head coach and pushed me and my staff to find new ways of communicating with our players,” Boswell said. “Dr. Izzy took the time to work with our players this past year, as they developed a new maturity on and off the field. He has been a great mentor, teacher and friend and I’m so excited for him to share his knowledge with the IWLCA membership at our annual meetings.”
