American University, Assistant Coach (P/T)

This position works directly with the Head Lacrosse Coach to assist in all aspects associated with the operation of a successful NCAA Division I women’s lacrosse program. Specifically, the assistant coach will provide instruction to develop overall athleticism, agility, skills, and understanding of the game with a focus on defense and/or goalkeepers. The assistant coach will utilize film to teach student-athletes. The assistant coach will assist in practices, providing direction during games, talent evaluation, and on and off-campus recruiting.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

  • 20 hours/week

Salary Range

  • Commensurate with experience

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Coaching experience and/or lacrosse playing experience at the collegiate or professional level
  • Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations and emphasis of attention to detail and organization

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

  • This position requires travel and may be required to work evenings, weekends and holidays with a limited amount of supervision
