Florida Institute of Technology, Head Coach

Florida Institute of Technology is searching for a Head Women's Lacrosse Coach for the Athletics department. This is a full-time position.  


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assist in the organization and implementation of regular practice sessions, competitions, fundraising and community service projects
  • Develop and teach strategies for motivating student-athletes to perform at maximum levels as both individuals and a team, while promoting the academic and athletic development of the student-athletes
  • Maintain an on-going recruitment program responsible for attracting highly qualified student-athletes with high grade point averages and students who have excelled in their respective sport at a high level
  • Responsible for the supervision and job performance review of all Women’s Lacrosse staff
  • Assist with makeup and implementation of the operating budget provided by the university. Develop fundraising activities and events to supplement the budget needs of the Women’s Lacrosse program
  • Responsible for complying with the policies and guidelines established by the NCAA, Sunshine State Conference (SSC), University and Athletics Department for conducting a varsity sport
  • Responsible for the coordination and implementation of all travel arrangements
  • Responsible for the oversight of the maintenance of the lacrosse practice field and upkeep of the equipment


Education / skills required:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited school
  • Minimum of 5 years of college coaching experience
  • Knowledge of NCAA, Division II compliance rules and regulations desired
  • Good interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills preferred
  • Ability to work / travel afternoons, evenings and weekends is necessary

* Official transcripts of all collegiate work must be sent directly from the attended institution to the Human Resources Office prior to the first day of employment. All international degrees must have a course-by-course official evaluation and translation sent to the Human Resources Office directly from an evaluation company affiliated with the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services, Inc. (NACES). *Required certification or license must be uploaded when submitting application for employment.
