The assistant coach will assist the head coach in coaching, planning, organization, directing and implementing all phases of a Division II Women’s Lacrosse program as well as assist in all areas of team performance including pre-season, post-season training, practice and competition.
The assistant coach will work closely with support staff for peak performance of the student-athletes as well as their development and academic success. The assistant coach will coordinate lacrosse recruiting activities, arrange on and off-campus evaluation and recruitment of student-athletes, organize unofficial and official visits of recruits, assist with all scouting reports, assist with clinic and camp functions, assist in the day-today operations including but not limited to NCAA paperwork, academic monitoring, travel plans and itineraries, equipment, film upload, practice planning, and all other duties assigned by the head coach consistent with the mission of the department. The assistant coach is responsible for adhering to all department and university policies and procedures, as well as the rules, regulations, bylaws and interpretations of the NCAA.
Minimum requirements include Bachelor’s degree by date of appointment, collegiate playing experience, college coaching experience, proficient in social media, interpersonal skills, and strong attention to detail.
