2018 IWLCA Division I Coaches Poll – April 16, 2018

For the eighth week in a row, Stony Brook University (14-0) is ranked number one in the IWLCA Division I Coaches Poll. Boston College (16-0) moved into the second position this week, while Maryland (14-1) slipped to third, and James Madison (13-1) and North Carolina (11-3) held their positions. Numbers six through ten remained exactly the same this week, and the only significant movement came in the bottom half of the poll. High Point (12-2) jumped from #24 to #19, and Dartmouth (8-3) entered the poll for the first time this season, landing in a tie with Georgetown (9-4) at #23.

Top-15 action opens on Wednesday this week when James Madison puts their #4 ranking on the line against in-state rival Virginia (#12). Boston College (#2) hosts #16 Syracuse, and #17 Penn State visits #3 Maryland on Thursday. The weekend’s matchups include #22 Duke at North Carolina (#5), and Virginia at #14 Virginia Tech, both on Saturday.
