The IWLCA National Players of the Week for Divisions I, II, and III, are announced on Wednesdays on "IWLCA Weekly, Presented by ILWomen." WATCH the full episode.

Division I

Offensive Player of the Week
Katie O’DonnellPenn State University

O'Donnell registered a career-high eight points while tying her career-best with six goals and two assists to help lead Penn State past #6 Virginia 22-13. O'Donnell became just the 14th player in program history to reach the 200-career point mark and with 205 career points moved all the way up to ninth in Penn State history after beginning the game 15th. O'Donnell has now scored at least one goal in 36 straight contests dating back to her sophomore campaign while her 40 goals this season rank third in the Big Ten.

Defensive Player of the Week

Sarah Brown – University of Colorado

Brown helped the Buffs to a 2-0 record as they upset USC on Friday, 10-7, and then defeated ASU 16-3 on Sunday. Against USC, Brown recorded seven draw controls and added four ground balls and one caused turnover. In the following game against ASU, the defender scored a goal and an assist for a career-high two points. She also had three ground balls, three draw controls and a pair of caused turnovers. Brown was also a key part of CU's transition - the Buffs cleared on 32 of 34 attempts (.941), and they held the opponents to 34 of 42 attempts (.810).


Division II

Offensive Player of the Week

Lauren Tybor – Florida Tech

Tybor broke two program single-game records to lead #5 Florida Tech to a 23-10 victory over Colorado State University - Pueblo on Friday. The sophomore recorded 13 points and ten assists, both program records, to go along with three goals, eight draw controls, a season-high six ground balls to guide the Panthers to their 10th win of the season and 18th consecutive victory over a non-conference opponent. Tybor now sits atop the 2018 NCAA Division II single-game leaders in assists and points.

Defensive Player of the Week

Olivia Kirk – LIU Post

Kirk compiled a .742 save percentage for the week, making 23 saves in two games. She allowed just one goal while making six saves against Bridgeport and then made 17 saves, allowing just seven goals, against #2 Adelphi. Kirk, who currently leads all of Division II with a .576 save percentage, also added two ground balls to her team’s efforts last week.


Division III

Offensive Player of the Week

Caroline Nowak – Tufts University

Nowak’s 13 points helped lead the Jumbos to a 3-0 week. She netted five goals, including breaking a 5-5 tie to give Tufts a lead it would not relinquish in a win over Williams. She added a player-down goal in a 12-7 victory against Wesleyan and closed out the week with five goals in a win over Babson on Sunday. She also had four ground balls, two draw controls, and three caused turnovers.

Defensive Player of the Week

Eleanor Garvey – Mount Ida College

In Mount Ida’s only contest of the week, Garvey made 17 saves, including 10 in the second half alone, in the Mustangs’ 10-7 victory over Simmons that extended its school-record winning streak to eight. Turning aside 17 of the 23 shots she faced was good for a .708 save percentage.
