2018 IWLCA Division III Coaches Poll – April 2, 2018
Gettysburg College improved to 8-0 and swept all 25 votes in the IWLCA Division III Coaches Poll this week, after beating then #4 College of New Jersey, 9-5. Last week’s number two, Middlebury (8-1), fell to TCNJ 10-6 and dropped to fourth, allowing Salisbury (11-0) and TCNJ (7-2) to move into the second and third position in the poll. Mary Washington (10-1) moved into the fifth spot, while Amherst (7-1), Tufts (6-1), and Trinity (7-2) sit in the sixth through eighth positions. York (5-3), fell to ninth after losing 14-13 to Catholic (6-4), and Franklin & Marshall (7-3) remained at number 10. Catholic was the biggest mover of the week, jumping five spots to land at #17. Hamilton (4-5), who received votes last week, entered the poll in the last spot, giving the NESCAC eight teams in the Top-25.
With conference action in full swing, Tuesday marks the only Top-25 games during the week, when #14 Wesleyan travels to #6 Amherst, Bowdoin (#18) hosts Bates (RV), and #10 Franklin & Marshall visits top-ranked Gettysburg. The weekend’s action includes the following games worth watching: #25 Hamilton against Trinity (#8); Mary Washington (#5) versus #9 York; Colby (#21) at Middlebury (#4); and Tufts (#7) at Wesleyan.

The 2018 Coaches Poll has been expanded to include 25 teams in all three NCAA Divisions this year in order to more accurately reflect the growth of the game at the collegiate level in recent years. The Coaches Polls are published every Monday during the regular season.
