2018 IWLCA Division III Coaches Poll – March 26, 2018
Gettysburg College (6-0) collected 24 of a possible 25 first place votes this week to claim the top spot in the IWLCA Division III Coaches Poll. Middlebury (6-0) and Salisbury (8-0) maintained their second and third ranking this week, while The College of New Jersey (6-1) jumped into the fourth spot. York (4-2) held tight at number five, Mary Washington (8-1) moved into the sixth position, and Amherst (7-0) and Tufts (5-1) moved up and into a tie for seventh. Trinity (4-2) fell to number nine and Franklin & Marshall (6-2) dropped to tenth. Geneseo (6-0) was the biggest mover this week, leapfrogging five spots to land at thirteen, and Stevens (5-2) makes its 2018 poll debut, at number 25.
We start with Top-25 action early this week, when Catholic (#22) welcomes #5 York, Cortland (#15) faces Trinity (#9) in a neutral site matchup, and Middlebury (#2) visits #4 TCNJ on Tuesday. Other weekday games include St. Mary’s (RV) at #6 Mary Washington, Franklin & Marshall (#10) at #3 Salisbury, and Stevens (#25) at #12 Wesleyan on Wednesday, and top-ranked Gettysburg at TCNJ on Thursday. The weekend’s action includes: Middlebury at #T-7 Amherst, Hamilton (RV) at Bates (#24), #20 St. John Fisher at Stevens, Bowdoin (#18) at Trinity, and Colby (#19) at Wesleyan (#12), all on Saturday.

The 2018 Coaches Poll has been expanded to include 25 teams in all three NCAA Divisions this year in order to more accurately reflect the growth of the game at the collegiate level in recent years. The Coaches Polls are published every Monday during the regular season.
