2018 IWLCA Division III Coaches Poll – March 19, 2018
Gettysburg College (5-0) swept all 25 first place votes again this week to remain on top of the Division III Coaches Poll. Middlebury (5-0) moved into the second position, Salisbury (6-0) bumped up to the third spot, Trinity (4-1) dropped to number four, and York (4-1) broke into the top five for the first time this season. Last week’s number two, TCNJ (4-1), fell to number 6 after losing to Wesleyan (4-1 and this week’s number 12), and is followed by Mary Washington (7-1), Franklin & Marshall (5-2), Ithaca (4-1), and Tufts (4-0) to round out the top ten.
We kick off Top-25 play on Monday when #3 Salisbury and William Smith (#16) meet in a neutral site contest, followed by #9 Ithaca at #15 Cortland on Tuesday. Catholic (#21) travels to #8 Franklin & Marshall, #5 York hosts top-ranked Gettysburg, and #10 Tufts visits Washington and Lee (#14) on Wednesday. The weekend’s games include: Cortland at #23 St. John Fisher; Ithaca at #18 Geneseo; #11 Amherst at #24 Hamilton; #13 Messiah at #7 Mary Washington; Bowdoin (#17) at Middlebury (#2); York at Salisbury; and #4 Trinity at Tufts.

The 2018 Coaches Poll has been expanded to include 25 teams in all three NCAA Divisions this year in order to more accurately reflect the growth of the game at the collegiate level in recent years. The Coaches Polls are published every Monday during the regular season.
