Offensive Player of the Week

Taylor VanThof – Loyola University of Maryland

VanThof, a junior midfielder, posted seven goals, 17 draw controls and two ground balls to help Loyola Maryland earn victories over a pair of ranked opponents last week. The junior midfielder tied a career-high with four goals, including the game-winner in the third overtime, to go along with 10 draw controls and one ground ball against #10 Towson. She led a five-goal comeback with two goals and four draw controls to send the game to overtime against Towson. VanThof scored three goals and won seven draw controls in the Greyhounds win over No. 14 Princeton.

Defensive Player of the Week

Mikaila Cheeseman – University of Pennsylvania

The sophomore goalie earns this honor after backstopping the Quakers to a pair of non-conference road wins at Drexel and No. 25 Georgetown. Cheeseman allowed 11 goals on 27 shots in a 16-11 win at Drexel. She then held No. 25 Georgetown to just six goals on 24 shots. In 120 minutes on the week, Cheeseman compiled an 8.50 goals against average and .514 save percentage, while making 18 saves. She ranks third nationally with a 7.71 goals against average and seventh with a .534 save percentage this season.

Offensive Player of the Week

Meghan O’Brien – Florida Southern College

O’Brien scored nine goals and tallied eight assists for 17 total points on the week. The senior attacker had one goal and four assists against Young Harris and followed that up with four goals in each game against No. 10 Queens and No. 9 Mercy. O’Brien also had one assist against Queens and three against Mercy.

Defensive Player of the Week

Malorie Olin- Rollins College

Senior goalkeeper Malorie Olin helped the Tars go undefeated on the week, including helping Rollins upset 10th-ranked Queens 15-4, followed by a 14-8 win over Seton Hill to close out the week. Olin faced 34 total shots, allowing just 12 goals, for a goals against average of just 6.00 as she posted up a save percentage of .538 with 14 saves. Against the nationally-ranked Royals, Olin faced 15 shots and 10 shots on goal, making six saves and causing one turnover. Against Seton Hill, Olin grabbed three ground balls and made eight saves.

Offensive Player of the Week

Allie Barrett – Trinity College

Barrett lit up the stat sheet in two Trinity wins, totaling five goals, two assists seven ground balls, 10 draw controls, and four caused turnovers. In a 15-6 win against Stevens, Barrett had two goals, including the game-winner, an assist, and team-highs of five ground balls, four draw controls, and three caused turnovers. She added three goals and one assist with two ground balls, six draw controls, and one caused turnover in a 15-10 win at Williams.

Defensive Player of the Week

Kelly McGinniss – Lycoming College

McGinniss opened her junior season by setting two draw control program records while also adding 1 points, 10 goals, 9 ground balls and 27 draw controls in two games. McGinniss had four goals, one assist, seven ground balls, a caused turnover and a school record 15 draw controls in a 15-12 win over 2017 CSAC runner-up Marywood in the season opener. She also set the school’s career record in draw controls during the game, surpassing the previous mark of 225. McGinniss added six goals, all on free positions, two ground balls, and 12 draw controls in an 18-17 come-from-behind win over Buffalo State. She scored the game-tying goal with five minutes left in the contest to tie it at 16-16.
