2018 IWLCA Division II Pre-Season Poll – January 29, 2018

The Adelphi University Panthers claimed the number one spot in the IWLCA Division II Coaches Pre-Season Poll, claiming 24 of the 25 available first place votes. Adelphi posted a 21-1 record last year en route to winning the 2017 NCAA National Championship. Florida Southern, who lost to Adelphi in the Championship game, checks in at #2. The third and fourth spots in the poll are claimed by last year’s NCAA semi-finalist squads, Lindenwood and Le Moyne. LIU Post completes the top five grouping. Florida Tech, Queens, New Haven, Regis, and East Stroudsburg clock in at #6-10. The Northeast 10 looks like one of the toughest conferences based on the pre-season poll, as New Haven (#8), Stonehill (#17), and Pace (#18) join Adelphi and Le Moyne to land five schools in the Top 20, while the PSAC’s Mercyhurst (#15), West Chester (#16), Indiana (#19), Lock Haven (#23) and Slippery Rock (#25) join ESU to land six in the Top 25.
