Continuing Albion College's award winning free sports clinics sponsored by the Student Athlete Activities Committee (SAAC), 65 kids were treated to collegiate level coaching by the men's and women's lacrosse teams on Saturday, January 30th.

Starting with a comprehensive stretching program, the kids aged 4-11learned proper form for all of the essential fundamentals of lacrosse, including scooping, catching and throwing. After a session working on defensive positioning and offensive tactics, the kids all were able to take live shots against Albion College goalies.

Kadie Koolwick, senior from Bloomfield, Mich. is a 4-year veteran of the clinics.

"It has been great volunteering at the SAAC clinics these last four years and watching it grow each and every year. It's awesome to see some of the same kids come back every year as well as new faces. Teaching lacrosse to the next generation has been an amazing experience and I will truly miss volunteering next year."

Jordan Hempfling, senior from Midland, Mich. just enjoys the joy each kid shows.

"We had a great clinic. The kids brought their smiling faces, and I don't think that a single player went home without having a great experience. It was a good end to the first week of our season."

The series of clinics continues Saturday, February 6th hosted by the volleyball team.
