CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. (Team Impact)  – The women's lacrosse program recently welcomed their newest, and youngest, member to the squad when seven-year-old Norah signed her National Letter of Intent at Conte Forum. This opportunity was made possible by Team Impact.

Joined by her three sisters, the lacrosse team, coaching staff, members from athletic community and Team Impact board members and staff members alike, Norah answered an array of questions from her new teammates after signing her NLI.

Following the press conference, Norah's new teammates escorted her to the locker room, where her favorite song, the Boston College "Fight Song" played. There, she was given her very own locker, full of Boston College lacrosse gear for her and her sisters. The event was capped off with a pizza party attended by Norah's family and teammates.

Her father, Tim, a BC alum, was both excited and grateful for the opportunity his daughter was given.

"She's really enjoying the fact that these girls are reaching out and expressing their love to her," Tim said. "I was tearing up as we went into the room and they are playing the fight song and they had a special locker for Norah; it was incredible."

Norah has shown the hard work and determination that all BC student athletes demonstrate on and off the field, which makes her a perfect fit as the newest Eagle.

In August of 2015, Norah was diagnosed with a glioblastoma, more commonly known as a brain tumor. Since her diagnosis, she has undergone two surgeries and is currently going through chemotherapy and radiation treatments. Through her determination, Norah remains brave, continues to fight through these challenges with a smile on her face and is an inspiration to many.

One of her new teammates, senior captain Molly Erdle, echoed the sentiments of Norah's father, saying, "I know we are going to enjoy the benefit of having new members to our team and family here at BC."

After a weekend trip to Louisville, the Eagles will return for their home opener on Wednesday, March 2 vs. Massachusetts. Opening draw is scheduled for 3 pm.
