2016 IWLCA Coaches' Polls for the week of April 4

Maryland, Adelphi, and Cortland all retained the number one spot in their respective IWLCA Divisional Coaches Polls this week by sweeping all 20 available first place votes. Each team remained undefeated on the season and will be attempting to go wire to wire as the number one teams for the entirety of the regular season. The number two teams in each poll also held their positions, as Florida, Le Moyne, and Middlebury patiently wait for their chance to take over the top spot.

The IWLCA Communications committee, which oversees the coaches’ polls, has added a new feature for the 2016 season. Following the coaches’ poll release each week, the IWLCA will conduct a “Fan Poll” on Twitter, giving everyone the opportunity to weigh in on the order of the top four teams. The Division I Fan Poll on Twitter (@IWLCA), will be posted on Tuesdays at noon, EST; the Division II Fan Poll on Twitter (@IWLCA), will be posted on Wednesdays at noon, EST; and the Division III Fan Poll on Twitter (@IWLCA), will be posted on Thursdays at noon, EST. Voting for each fan poll will remain open for 24 hours.

The next IWLCA Weekly Poll will be released on April 11, 2016 for all three divisions.
