Grote Named 2025 IWLCA Service Award Recipient
The IWLCA is pleased to announce that Nicole Grote, Assistant Women’s Lacrosse Coach at the Saint Joseph’s University, has been named the recipient of the 2025 IWLCA Service Award.
Grote will be honored at the IWLCA Honors Banquet Dinner and Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony on November 20 in St. Petersburg, Florida, held at the Tradewinds Resort. This event is a highlight of the annual IWLCA Convention.
“I’m incredibly honored to be recognized by my peers,” said Grote. “Serving on the AMPC Committee and helping create meaningful opportunities for coaches to learn, connect, and grow is something I truly love. The IWLCA community is special, and I’m proud to play a small part in making our events impactful for everyone involved.”
A dedicated leader within the association, Grote has served as Co-Chair of the AMPC Committee since 2023, helping shape and elevate the IWLCA Convention experience. She has been instrumental in planning and organizing all clinic and drill sessions, working tirelessly to identify impactful topics and engaging presenters for the membership. Her commitment, attention to detail, and selfless service—often sacrificing her own networking and learning opportunities to ensure the success of others—exemplify the spirit of the IWLCA Service Award.
“Nikki deserves this award more than anyone,” said Megan Smith, Head Coach at Lee University, who nominated her for the honor. “She is organized, hardworking, and everything she does directly serves the IWLCA membership. The time and energy she devotes to planning and running Convention each year ensures that every coach who attends has the best possible experience.”
