IWLCA Announces 2025 Academic Merit Squad Recipients
The IWLCA has announced four teams as 2025 IWLCA Academic Merit Squads, which is a designation awarded to the top teams in each division with the highest team GPA for the preceding academic year. Each team listed was also recognized as an IWLCA Academic Honor Squad this past year.
IWLCA Academic Merit Squads
DIVISION I: Eastern Michigan University
DIVISION II: Post University
DIVISION III: Haverford College
NAIA: Keiser University
For a second season in a row, Eastern Michigan University posted the highest GPA among the 116 schools in Division I that recorded a team GPA of 3.2 or higher for the academic year. The Eagles finished with a 3.79 overall GPA.
In Division II, Post University earned the Merit Squad distinction by beating out 72 other Division II schools that also earned Honor Squad recognition. The squad earned a 3.82 GPA to close out the academic year.
The top GPA in Division III was claimed by Haverford College. The Fords led the division by toping 179 institutions with a 3.88 overall GPA. Haverford also boasts the highest GPA amongst all three divisions and the NAIA.
Keiser University tops the NAIA Merit Squad honorees, registering the highest team GPA of the nine teams that qualified as Academic Honor Squads this year. The Seahawks recorded a 3.79 overall GPA.
