Panthers Prevail: Middlebury Edges Tufts and Remain No. 1

Middlebury holds on to the No. 1 spot as the regular season winds down, narrowly escaping an upset with a hard-fought, one-goal win over No. 2 Tufts on Saturday. The undefeated Panthers look to close out their regular season strong with upcoming matchups against Trinity College and Williams College.

Tufts remains at No. 2 and will finish its regular season with games against Amherst and Bowdoin College.

Colby, Gettysburg, and Salisbury round out the Top 5 in this week’s rankings.

In total, 25 teams are represented in the poll, with voters—representing college coaches from across the nation—reflecting on the latest developments in women's lacrosse. The rankings are based on weekly performances, with the poll set to be released each Monday throughout the season.
