Tar Heels Rise to the Top in Latest IWLCA Coaches Poll

Voted No. 1 unanimously, the North Carolina Tar Heels have earned the top spot in this week’s Division I IWLCA Coaches Poll. UNC improved to 12-0 (7-0 ACC) with a close win over Boston College on Saturday.

As a result of the loss, Boston College drops to No. 2, losing the top ranking for the first time this season.

Northwestern remains at No. 3 after securing victories over No. 4 Johns Hopkins and Rutgers last week.

Florida sits at. No. 4, while the Blue Jays shift to No. 5 in this week’s voting.

In total, 25 teams are represented in the poll, with voters—representing college coaches from across the nation—reflecting on the latest developments in women's lacrosse. The rankings are based on weekly performances, with the poll set to be released each Monday throughout the season.
