IWLCA Players of the Week – February 18, 2025
The IWLCA has chosen eight student-athletes for the IWLCA Player of the Week awards for the week ending February 16, 2025. This weekly award recognizes the best offensive and defensive performances by players in Division I, II, III, and the NAIA each week during the regular season.
Offensive Player of the Week
Rachel Clark – Boston College
Clark led the Eagles to a 3-0 start with wins over two top-10 teams. She scored 12 goals in the first two games, including a career-high seven against No. 8 Loyola Maryland. Clark added five goals and contributed three points (2 goals, 1 assist) in the victory over No. 2 Northwestern, snapping their 47-game home win streak. Clark currently leads the ACC with 14 goals and ranks fourth nationally, while also sitting first among active players with 219 career goals and fourth with 267 points.
Defensive Player of the Week
Cami Donadio – Yale University
Donadio earns this week’s honor after playing a key role in the Bulldogs' victory over No. 4 Michigan. She made six crucial saves, including two against preseason All-American attacker Jill Smith, with the game on the line. Donadio stopped a point-blank shot with 30 seconds left in the third quarter and later denied a free position shot with 12:05 remaining in the game, helping secure the win.
Offensive Player of the Week
Josie Tinnerello – Lincoln Memorial University
Tinnerello’s standout performance in the Railsplitters 14-6 win over North Greenville earns her this week’s Offensive honors. She tied her career high with nine goals and added two assists, also matching a program record for most goals in a game. Tinnerello was highly efficient, with 11 of her 13 shots on goal.
Defensive Player of the Week
Keegan Gillman – Lincoln Memorial University
Gilman recorded a season-high 10 saves in the win over North Greenville. Her performance was crucial in keeping the opposition at bay and securing the victory for her team.
Offensive Player of the Week
Lydia Cassilly – Franklin & Marshall College
Cassilly led the No. 4 Diplomats to a season-opening victory over No. 6 Washington and Lee. She scored six goals on 11 shots (8 on goal), helping F&M secure the win with a trio of hat tricks. She also collected two ground balls and committed just one turnover, scoring in each of the final three quarters to fuel her team's offensive effort.
Defensive Player of the Week
Katie Bukiewicz – Messiah University
Bukiewicz is named IWLCA Defensive Player of the Week in Division III after a standout performance in a 10-8 win over No. 24 Scranton. She contributed six draw controls, four ground balls, and caused three turnovers, playing a key role in her team's defensive success.
Offensive Player of the Week
Michelle Farrell – Indiana Institute of Technology
In Indiana Tech’s 21-9 win over Kalamazoo, Farrell notched six goals and six assists for 12 points on the day. She also added four draw controls, seven ground balls and two caused turnovers to her stat line.
Defensive Player of the Week
Madison Hasty – Reinhardt University
Hasty has been named Defensive Player of the Week after making 11 saves in a 15-12 victory over NCAA DIII Piedmont College. Her key saves were crucial in securing the big win for the Eagles.
