Announcement of the 2024 IWLCA Service Award Recipient

The IWLCA is pleased to announce that Amanda Belichick, Head Coach at the College of the Holy Cross, has been named the recipient of the 2024 IWLCA Service Award.

Belichick will be honored at the IWLCA Honors Banquet Dinner and Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony on November 21 in St. Petersburg, Florida, held at the Hilton St. Petersburg Bayfront. This event is a highlight of the annual IWLCA Convention.

Since becoming Chair of the IWLCA Rules, Safety, and Games Administration Committee (RSGA) last fall, Belichick has dedicated herself to shaping the future of the game. She has actively sought ways to positively influence rule changes during a crucial period of evolution in women's lacrosse.

“Amanda stepped into the RSGA role during a challenging time and has proven to be the right person for the job,” said committee member and Middlebury College Head Coach Kate Livesay. “She has committed countless hours to studying the game and exploring ways to implement progressive changes.”

Upon learning of her award, Belichick expressed her gratitude: “It is an honor to receive this award and to serve on an IWLCA Committee. Being part of this organization is a privilege, and I am fortunate to collaborate with passionate and dedicated coaches. The engaging conversations and trust we've built this year have been invaluable. Women's lacrosse is thriving thanks to the dedication of individuals who give back in meaningful ways.”
