North Stars Shine for Senior All-Star Weekend

The Division I, II, and III North Teams claimed all three Divisional All-Star games after an outstanding weekend of women's lacrosse. The 2023 IWLCA Senior All-Star games were played at Bill Tierney Field at USA Lacrosse Headquarters in Sparks, Md. on Saturday, June 3. This year's sweep by the North teams breaks the chain of sweeps by the South that has continued for the last two years the Senior All-Star games have been played. (Photo gallery links are available below)

DIVISION I

The North All-Stars claimed an 11-9 victory over the South under the direction of Katie O'Donnell (Drexel University Head Coach). University of Massachusetts goalkeeper Gina Caroll was named MVP after coming up with pivotal saves that kept the North ahead of the South's second-half comeback attempt. Howard University head coach Karen Healy-Silcott served as the South team coach.

DIVISION II

The North All-Stars, coached by Tricia Molfetta (Pace University) defeated the South team 9-6. Attacker Jolie Urraro (Pace University) was named the MVP of the contest and recorded an unofficial two goals in the matchup. Jenny Miller (Shepherd University) was the South team's coach.

DIVISION III

Coached by Gettysburg University's Charlotte Cunningham, a competitive battle favored the North All-Stars. St. John Fisher University goalkeeper Lilly Goodsell was named MVP after remaining a brick wall in the second half to lead her team to a 15-11 victory over the South. Haverford College head coach Katie Wertman served as the South team coach.
