IWLCA President Liz Grote, head coach at Bowdoin College, has announced the election results for the 2022 IWLCA Board of Directors. There were four vacancies contested in this election cycle, including the Treasurer, an Executive Committee position, and three NCAA Divisional representatives. All new board members will begin their three-year terms of service on July 1, 2022.

“There was a strong slate of candidates for Board vacancies this year,” said Grote. “Each newly elected member brings a fresh and unique perspective to the Board that will inform our work on behalf of the membership. I am excited to begin working with them as we strive to increase our level of support for our member coaches and continue to grow the game.

Kelsey Howard, an assistant coach at Colby College, was elected as the new IWLCA Treasurer. She has been serving as the Division III Chair for the Coaches Poll committee the past several years and also is a Certified Public Accountant and has been working as an auditor.

Sarah Dalton Graddock, head coach at the University of Vermont, was elected as a Division I representative. She is currently a member of the Northeast Region All-American sub-committee.

Akasha Kasper is the head coach at the University of Alabama in Huntsville and will serve as Division II Representative. Kasper is an active member of the Officials Recruitment and Development Committee and has served on the All-American Selections regional sub-committee.

Nora Fallon-Oben, head coach at Hartwick College, was elected as a Division III Representative. She is currently a member of the Empire Region All-American sub-committee and has served as a coaches poll voter.

Each of these newly elected members will be serving on the IWLCA Board of Directors for the first time.

The IWLCA re-structured the Board of Directors in order to balance Divisional representation in 2017. The new structure includes the four officers comprising the Executive Committee, as well as three Representatives from each NCAA Division and one representing the NAIA. Each member of the Board of Directors serves a three-year term of office.

“On behalf of our Board members and staff, I’d like to thank outgoing Board members Melissa Lehman, Lauren Morton, Scott Tucker, and Susan Stuart-Elliott for the time and dedication they have provided in service to the IWLCA,” Grote said. “We are grateful for their commitment to the IWLCA membership, and to ensuring the success and prosperity of the association and will miss working with them.”
