North Carolina picked up a 20-8 win against Virginia Tech this week as they are voted into the No. 1 spot for the second straight week. Boston College stays put in second, defeating Pitt, 19-12.
The biggest shake up this week includes No. 8 Maryland as they drop out of the third spot after a 13-8 loss to No. 12 James Madison, an upset win which bumped the Dukes up to the 12th slot. Northwestern, Syracuse and Stony Brook all moved up one spot to round out this week’s top five as they all tallied wins.
Check back each Monday morning for the release of the new ILWomen/IWLCA Division I Poll. The ILWomen/IWLCA Polls consist of voters representing college coaches and media members, following the weekly happenings across women’s lacrosse.
