Whitman College, Head Coach and Instructor or Lecturer

Whitman College, a private, residential liberal arts college and member of NCAA Division III, announces a full-time, 12-month renewable position for the Head Coaching position in Women's Lacrosse, beginning May 1, 2021 or negotiable if needed. The Head Women's Lacrosse Coach reports directly to the Director of Athletics, and also serves as a faculty member in the SSRA Department. This position supports the mission of the College by planning, designing and administering all phases of a successful women's lacrosse program including coaching, the recruitment and retention of academically and athletically qualified student-athletes in a rigorous academic environment, scheduling, budget management, travel arrangements and supervision and collaboration of the student athletes and the coaching staff.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution required; Master's degree highly preferred; successful coaching experience at the college level preferred, successful head coaching experience preferred; demonstrated knowledge of NCAA and NWC rules and a commitment to the academic development student-athletes required. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with students, staff, faculty, parents and alumni from diverse ethnic, cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds is required.
