Trinity College junior Ellie Kirkpatrick (Bryn Mawr, Pa.) is a two-year starting attacker for the Bantams women’s lacrosse team who has been playing the sport since the third grade. Diagnosed with Addison’s disease as a junior in high school, Kirkpatrick did nothing to quell her desire to take her lacrosse to the collegiate level.

In Kirkpatrick’s sophomore year of high school, she was a two-sport athlete playing field hockey and lacrosse. She began noticing changes in her stamina. “I was feeling super lethargic and couldn't even run around the field once. I was super tan and way past the point of being normally tan. I couldn’t focus on homework and had all these weird symptoms that I had never had before,” Kirkpatrick said.
