2021 IWLCA Division III Coaches Poll – April 26, 2021
Franklin & Marshall (5-0) collected 18 of 25 first place votes to earn another week as the top team in the Division III Coaches Poll. Washington and Lee (11-0), Tufts (5-0), Salisbury (13-0), and Gettysburg (5-0) held their spots to complete the top five. Catholic (7-0), Ithaca (11-0) and Colby (3-1) held steady at numbers six, seven, and eight, while Denison (8-1) and St. John Fisher (12-1) each moved up a spot in the back half of the top ten. There were no new entrants to this week’s poll., or any significant movement among the rest of the teams
Top-25 action starts on Wednesday, when #20 Christopher Newport faces #24 Mary Washington and Salisbury (#4) takes on #22 St. Mary’s in the C2C semifinals; the Liberty League and NJAC also start their tournaments, which could lead to potential matchups between ranked opponents later in the week. On Thursday, #17 Cortland faces #16 Geneseo in the SUNYAC Tourney. Gettysburg (#5) visits top-ranked Franklin & Marshall on Saturday, and Wesleyan #11 travels to face #3 Tufts for the NESCAC Championship game. We could also see potential top-25 matchups in the MAC and ODAC Tournament Championships over the weekend.
