2021 IWLCA Division I Coaches Poll – March 15, 2021
North Carolina (7-0) remains the number one team in the Division I Coaches Poll this week, followed closely by Syracuse (5-0), Northwestern (5-0), Notre Dame (2-2), and Stony Brook (5-2). Boston College (4-1) moved up four spots to land at #6, while Penn State (2-2) held at #7, Maryland (3-1) moved up to the eight spot, Virginia (5-1) dropped to ninth, and Duke (5-2) slid into the top ten. Jacksonville University (3-0) and Temple University (4-1) are new entrants to this week’s poll, with the Dolphins landing at #22 and Temple tied at #25.
This week’s top-25 games start on Thursday, when #19 Louisville welcomes #1 North Carolina. On Friday #15 Rutgers hosts Northwestern (#3), #11 Florida travels to Temple (T-25), and Duke (#10) visits #9 Virginia, and #7 Penn state faces off against #13 Michigan. Jacksonville (#22) heads to #16 Virginia Tech on Saturday. The week wraps up with Sunday’s games, which include #4 Notre Dame at Louisville, and rematches between Penn State and Michigan, Duke and Virginia, Florida and Temple, and Northwestern and Rutgers.
