Washington & Jefferson College Women's Lacrosse seeks applicants for an Assistant Coach for the 2021-2022 seasons. The assistant position provides a stipend, housing and meal plan. The program's objective is to use the college's NCAA Division III athletics to give aspiring men and women opportunities to observe, participate and gain experience at the collegiate level.
The assistant will be exposed to resume-building situations while applying coaching concepts and principles. Responsibilities include but are not limited to, hands-on opportunities to work directly with head coach in practice planning, recruitment of prospective student-athletes, and overseeing academic progress of current student-athletes. In addition, the assistant will gain insight into the administrative side of the athletic department through experiences with game management, facility coordination or working with the college's Student Athlete Advisory Council. The Head Women's Lacrosse Coach is the assistant primary supervisor. The assistant will also be evaluated by the Director of Athletics.
Stipend: $4,000, 4-month current contract February thru May - **(Due to the timing of hire, there is opportunity to continue employment past May)**
Housing: On-campus apartment provided; Utilities included with the exception of cable and home internet
Meal Stipend: $100 per month
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required. Excellent communication skills. Knowledge if NCAA rules and regulations. Supervisory Duties. The position does not require managing other employees.
