The Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) and Elite Tournaments announced today that Dallas, Texas will host the 2021 IWLCA Presidents Cup and IWLCA Debut November 19-22, 2021. This will not only mark the first time the IWLCA Presidents Cup has been held outside the state of Florida, but also the first IWLCA event hosted in the state of Texas.

“We have seen amazing growth to the game of lacrosse throughout the United States. Looking at the expansion of lacrosse sponsored at all levels in Florida over the past few years, it’s hard not to think the IWLCA Presidents Cup and Debut have been a factor in driving that growth,” said Liz Robertshaw, IWLCA Executive Director.  “We are in a new era and feel that taking these premier events, as well as the IWLCA Convention, which is attended by hundreds of coaches from all divisions each year, to the heart of the country can help grow lacrosse in Texas and the Midwest as a whole. We firmly believe in growing the game and are excited about this opportunity for the players, their families, and our coaches to explore a new area.”

The 2021 IWLCA Tournament Series includes: Midwest Cup (June 12-13, Westfield, Ind); Southeast Cup (June 12-13, Winston-Salem, N.C.); Champions Cup (June 18-20, Boyds, Md. and Olney, Md.); New England Cup (June 26-27, Amherst, Mass.); Capital Cup (July 9-12, Richmond, Va.); West Coast Cup (July 24-25, San Jose, Calif.); Southwest Cup (November 6-7, Tucson, Ariz.); Presidents Cup (November 19-21, Dallas, Texas); and the Debut (November 19-21, Dallas, Texas).

“We at Elite are thrilled about the opportunity to hold the IWLCA Presidents Cup and Debut in the Dallas area next fall,” noted Taylor Cummings, Lacrosse Tournament Director for Elite Tournaments. “We look forward to bringing the nation’s top players, club programs, and college coaches together for an amazing weekend of lacrosse in a fun and exciting new location.”
