Lincoln Memorial University, Head Coach

The Head Women’s Lacrosse Coach is responsible for the growth and development of the women’s lacrosse program by planning and directing the activities of the team. The primary duty of the Head Women’s Lacrosse Coach is instructing student-athletes in the skills and strategies unique to competition in the sport.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience coaching at the NCAA Division I, II, or III level

Preferred Qualifications           

  • Master’s degree or higher
  • Successful background as a lacrosse player and/or coach at the NCAA Division I, II, or III level
  • Thorough knowledge of the sport
  • Strong communication, organizational, and team building skills
  • Knowledge of NCAA and Conference rules and regulations
  • CPR certified.

Physical Demands        

  • Work nights, weekends, and early mornings
  • Ability to thrive in a high pace environment

Job Duties       

  • Promote the mission of Lincoln Memorial University to all faculty, staff, students and to the community at large 
  • Engage in instruction of sport skills and strategies to develop student-athletes athletically
  • Ensure the academic, social, and athletic development and provide opportunities for growth in those areas for all student-athletes
  • Recruitment and retention of all student-athletes in the women s lacrosse program
  • Prepare and submit an annual budget proposal
  • Supervise all personnel assigned to the women s lacrosse program
  • Prepare a schedule of competitions and submit schedule to the Athletic Director for approval
  • Participate in efforts to collect, analyze, and report data for the athletic department in the University’s planning, assessment, and evaluation processes for institutional effectiveness
  • Assist in the production of outcomes-assessment and long-range planning for the athletic department
  • Maintain excellent condition of practice and competition facilities
  • Participate in various fund-raising activities for the program and the Department
  • Oversee student-athletes while in the weight room and assist in maintaining the upkeep of the weight room; and adhere to the NCAA and Conference rules
