Eastern Connecticut State University, Assistant Coach (P/T)

This is a 10- month position and duties will include assisting the head coach in all aspects of leading a competitive NCAA Division III lacrosse program. This is a salaried position, part-time without benefits. The opportunity to earn additional coaching/administrative income through camps and clinics is possible.


  • Assist head coach in planning offensive and defensive strategies, evaluation of athletes, and planning and preparing daily practice plan.
  • Prepare Power Point scouting reports of opponents with updated statistics, personnel, and detailed information.

Recruitment of Student Athletes:

  • Help build and maintain Front Rush recruit database including data entry of potential recruits, coaching contacts, and game schedules.
  • Make contact with potential recruits with weekly phone calls and emails.
  • Attend area high school games in the spring as well as camps and tournaments nationwide in the summer and fall for live recruiting.
  • Will include some overnight/extended travel.

Administrative Duties:

  • Maintain, update, and expand alumni database.
  • Arrange, schedule, and facilitate film exchange schedule with opponents.
  • Oversee student workers and team managers.
  • Organize, inspect, and issue team apparel.
  • Other administrative duties as deemed necessary by Head Coach.
