Centenary University, Graduate Assistant

Centenary University invites applicants for the assistant women’s lacrosse coach receiving graduate credits. Centenary competes as a member of the NCAA Division III and as a member of the Colonial States Athletic Conference.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the teaching and supervision of Centenary lacrosse student-athletes.   
  • Demonstrate competency in sport skill instruction, motivation, and the ability to conduct practice sessions under the direction of the head coach.
  • Assist with recruiting prospective student-athletes under the direction of the head coach.
  • Adhere to all sport governing, department, and institutional rules and policies.
  • Demonstrate a sincere interest in the personal, academic and athletic progress of student-athletes.
  • Exhibit supportive and cooperative behavior pursuing sport program goals set by the head coach.
  • Demonstrate leadership ability and professional behavior when coaching student-athletes.
  • Efficiently and effectively complete tasks assigned by the head coach.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree required.

Other Information:

This is a ten (10) month, non-benefits-eligible position. This position description is not all-inclusive as other tasks or responsibilities may be assigned. The candidate will be eligible for six (6) graduate level credits per semester during the academic year and receive a stipend amount of $3,000. On campus housing available as well as eligible for the University’s meal/dining hall employee benefit plan.
