William Smith College, Assistant Coach (P/T)

Assist the head lacrosse coach by introducing advanced women’s lacrosse skills and techniques. Assist with daily practice planning and implementation. Provide expert game analysis.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the teaching and supervision of William Smith lacrosse student-athletes.   
  • Demonstrate competency in sport skill instruction, motivation, and the ability to conduct practice sessions under the direction of the head coach.
  • Assist with recruiting prospective student-athletes under the direction of the head coach.
  • Adhere to all sport governing, department, and institutional rules and policies.
  • Demonstrate a sincere interest in the personal, academic and athletic progress of student-athletes.
  • Exhibit supportive and cooperative behavior pursuing sport program goals set by the head coach.
  • Demonstrate leadership ability and professional behavior when coaching student-athletes.
  • Efficiently and effectively complete tasks assigned by the head coach or full time assistant coach.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree required.  Candidate must have played or coached lacrosse at the collegiate level for a minimum of two years.

Other Information:

This is a part-time, five (5) month, non-benefits-eligible, administrative position. This position description is not all-inclusive as other tasks or responsibilities may be assigned. 

William Smith College competes as a member of the NCAA Division III and as a member of the Liberty League.
