Towson University, a Division I member of the Colonial Athletic Association is accepting applications for an Assistant Women’s Lacrosse Coach. This position, under the direction of the head coach, teaches and provides instruction in the sport of women's lacrosse and assists in the planning, promotion and administration of a quality Division I women's lacrosse program.
The Assistant Women's Lacrosse Coach will assist in all aspects of practice, game coaching, and team conditioning; assist with the recruiting process of prospective student-athletes including the identification and evaluation of prospects and applicable prospect follow-up; assist in the Academic coordination for female lacrosse student-athletes; ensure personal and program adherence to all institutional, conference, and NCAA rules/requirements; provide coordination for team related community service activities; assist in the promotion of the women’s lacrosse and overall athletics program; assist in the organization and implementation of pre- and post-season conditioning and weight training programs for female lacrosse student-athletes; and perform other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree required with at least one year of coaching experience at the high school, collegiate, camp/clinic, or professional level. The selected candidate must have knowledge of strategies and skills in the sport of Women’s lacrosse, as well as University, conference, and NCAA rules/regulations/requirements. Master’s degree and experience in coaching at the Division I level preferred.
A Criminal Background Investigation is required for the hired candidate and the results may impact employment.
