Offensive Player of the Week
Jamie Ortega – University of North Carolina
Ortega tallied 19 points with 13 goals in three ACC tournament games last week, earning MVP honors as the Tar Heels captured their fourth consecutive ACC Championship. The sophomore attacker scored 8 goals and added four assists in a 19-9 win over Virginia Tech, found the net four times, and chipped in with an assist against Duke in the 16-11 semifinal win, and then finished with a goal and an assist in the Championship game against Boston College. She also added four ground balls, a caused turnover, and three draw controls during the tournament.
Defensive Player of the Week
Jules Horning – Marquette University
Horning held down the defensive effort for Marquette in their 14-12 win over Big East rival Georgetown with a season-high 18 saves, one shy of her career-high and eight more than her previous best for the year. The junior netminder tallied 11 saves in the second half alone to help the Golden Eagles claim the upset. Horning faced 49 shots on the afternoon and posted a .600 save percentage for the game.
Offensive Player of the Week
Sarah Reilly – Assumption College
Reilly scored tallied 13 goals and three assists, while scoring on 68 percent of her shot attempts during the final week of the regular season to help Assumption earn its best conference record in program history. The senior attacker had six goals and one assist with three draws in a 15-11 win over Southern Connecticut. Reilly then came through with seven goals and one assist with a ground ball and two draw controls to lead the Hounds over #21 Merrimack 14-13.
Defensive Player of the Week
Bridget Sutter – University of Tampa
Sutter played every minute for the Spartans in the SSC Tournament, stopping 38 shots while allowing only 28 goals for a .575 save percentage. Against #3 Rollins, Sutter made 24 saves to help Tampa to a 14-10 win. The sophomore goalie was named to the All-Championship team after her and the Spartans won the tournament championship with a 19-18 overtime win against Florida Southern. She also added 8 ground balls during the tournament.

Abigail Horst – Wesleyan University
Horst had a monster week as she helped Wesleyan to two wins with 10 points on nine goals and one assist, including nine draw controls, four caused turnovers, and four ground balls. In a 14-9 win over Connecticut College, the senior midfielder scored six goals and dished out one assist, while also surpassing 100 career points. In the quarterfinal game against #14 Colby, she scored three goals, including the 100th of her career, as Wesleyan advanced to the NESCAC Semifinals for the first time ever by beating the Mules 14-12.
Defensive Player of the Week
Emily Kitchin – Franklin & Marshall College
Kitchin totaled 17 saves in a 2-0 week for Franklin & Marshall, accumulating a 7.79 GAA. She picked up nine saves in the Diplomats’ 9-7 win over #22 Dickinson, while adding a ground ball and one caused turnover. The freshman goalkeeper allowed only four goals while making eight saves and chipping in with one ground ball and a caused turnover in a 15-4 victory over Muhlenberg, clinching the regular season title in the Centennial Conference.
