Division I

Offensive Player of the Week

Andie Aldave – Notre Dame

Aldvave led the Irish to wins over VCU and # 5 Virginia, combining for four goals, three assists, seven points, two ground balls and 16 draw controls in the victories. In the road win over the Cavaliers, the sophomore midfielder scored three goals and had two assists. She netted the game-winner with 1:30 remaining. 

Defensive Player of the Week

Megan Taylor – University of Maryland

Taylor was phenomenal in goal yet again for Maryland, posting 21 saves to only nine goals allowed, a .700 save percentage in Maryland's two wins over #8 Penn and Ohio State. In the Big Ten opener against Ohio State, she didn't allow a goal and saved eight shots, a 1.000 save percentage to shut the Buckeyes out in the first half, the first time Maryland's shut an opponent out in the first half since 2012. Taylor stopped eight of 11 shots faced in the half against Ohio State. Held Penn to their lowest goal total of the year, and only four goals in the first half, saving 59.1 percent of their shots.


Division II

Offensive Player of the Week

Bryanna Fazio – Le Moyne College

Fazio registered 12 points on six goals and six assists and recorded 19 draw controls in Le Moyne’s 2-0 week. The senior attacker posted four points on three goals and one assist in a 16-8 win at 15th-ranked Mercyhurst on Wednesday. She tallied eight points on three goals and five assists in a 19-2 victory over Stonehill on Saturday, setting a new program record for career points.

Defensive Player of the Week

Anne Marie Ardito – New York Institute of Technology

In a pair of NYIT wins over Shippensburg and Wilmington last week, Ardito compiled 10 ground balls, 15 draw controls, and four caused turnovers. The defender also helped the Bears hold opponents to an average of 6.4 goals per game. In a win over Wilmington, Ardito set an NYIT program record with 13 draw controls.


Division III

Offensive Player of the Week

Liza Barr – Gettysburg College

Barr tied the best offensive output by a Bullet over the last 16 years with a career-high 11 points on five goals and six assists in top-ranked Gettysburg’s 20-9 victory over #19 Ithaca. The junior attacker connected on all five of her shot attempts on the way to setting a new personal mark for goals, including a pair of free-position tallies. Barr had a hand in nine of the team’s 16 first-half goals, including each of the final four of the period. She leads the Bullets in goals (tied, 15), assists (19), and points (34) through the first five games.

Defensive Player of the Week

Nicole Clauter – York College of PA

Clauter had a big week in a pair of Spartan wins last week. The senior defender began the week with five ground balls, five draw controls and two caused turnovers as the Spartans held Lebanon Valley to six goals in the 16-6 win. Clauter followed that with five ground balls, a season-high 11 draw controls, and a caused turnover in the win over Messiah. The Spartans limited Messiah to six goals over the first 56 minutes of the game before the Falcons got four goals late after the Spartans had substituted.
