Undefeated UNC Stays Atop Week 3 Division I Coaches Poll
NORTHBOROUGH, Mass.— The 4–0 Tar Heels continue to lead the nation, holding firm at No. 1 in the IWLCA Division I Coaches Poll for Week 3.
Stanford once again claims the No. 2 spot after securing two strong wins over the weekend, highlighted by a two-goal victory over No. 13 Syracuse on Friday followed by a dominant performance against Southern California.
Maryland and Northwestern remain steady at No. 3 and No. 4, respectively, while Johns Hopkins breaks into the Top 5 for the first time this season. The Blue Jays improve to 4–0, including three wins over nationally ranked opponents.
Michigan’s dramatic overtime win over No. 6 Boston College propels the Wolverines to No. 6 in this week’s rankings.
In total, 25 teams are represented in the poll, with voters—college coaches from across the nation—reflecting the latest results across women’s lacrosse. The rankings are based on weekly performances, with the poll set to be released each Monday throughout the season.
