NORTHBOROUGH, MASS. – The IWLCA has chosen nine student-athletes for the IWLCA Player of the Week awards for the week ending March 29, 2026. This weekly award recognizes the best offensive and defensive performances by players in Division I, II, III and the NAIA each week during the regular season.

Lauren Lapointe—University of Maryland

Lauren had a record-breaking week, scoring 11 goals across two games to help No. 3 Maryland remain unbeaten. Against No. 7 Johns Hopkins, LaPointe recorded a career-high 10 points with seven goals and three assists. She closed out the weekend on Sunday with four more goals in a win over No. 21 Penn State. Maryland was recently ranked No. 1 in the latest IWLCA Division I Coaches Poll.

Nikki Mennella—Hofstra University

Mennella delivered a dominant performance in Hofstra’s 13–10 road win over Towson, recording eight points on six goals and two assists while adding eight draw controls. It marked the third time this season—and ninth in her career—she has scored six or more goals in a game. With the score tied at seven midway through the third quarter, Mennella took over with a personal 3–0 run to give the Pride the lead for good. She also committed just one turnover in the contest, helping Hofstra improve to 3–0 in league play.

Defensive Player of the Week

Jenika Cuocco—Northwestern University

Cuocco earned Defensive Player of the Week honors after a standout performance in goal, recording 23 saves and a 45.1% save percentage in wins over No. 1 North Carolina and No. 7 Johns Hopkins. She delivered a clutch overtime free-position stop to secure the victory against UNC and added six ground balls against the Blue Jays.

Division II

Offensive Player of the Week
Jenna Vetter—Florida Southern College

Vetter delivered a record-tying performance with nine goals against No.11 Saint Leo, matching the program’s single-game mark while setting a new career high. She also scored the game-tying goal to force overtime in that contest. Vetter followed with a team-leading three goals against No. 8 Lynn, continuing her strong offensive impact against ranked opponents.

Defensive Player of the Week

Jillian McFadden—Adelphi University

McFadden anchored the Panthers in a pair of wins, posting a .615 save percentage across games against No. 12 Pace and Saint Michael’s. She held the high-powered Setters—who average 13 goals per game—to just eight scores, while recording a career-high 16 saves in the victory. On the week, McFadden totaled 24 saves and allowed only 15 goals, helping Adelphi improve to 5–0 in league play.

Division III

Offensive Player of the Week
Caroline Adams—Middlebury College

Adams was a catalyst in three road victories versus ranked opponents. The senior opened the slate with six goals, one assist, and nine draw controls in a 13-6 victory over No. 20 University of Chicago and became the first player in program history to surpass 400 career draw wins. Adams kept her hat trick streak going, tallying five points (3G, 2A) in an 11-10 triumph at No. 3 Tufts. Her player-up goal with 1:02 remaining in the third quarter gave Middlebury a lead they never relinquished, and she assisted on two of the final three tallies to seal the win. The attacker closed the week by scoring four times and adding three helpers to guide Middlebury to an 18-3 victory against No. 24 Babson. Adams leads the conference with 6.40 draw wins per game and is second in goals (33) and points per game (5.20). This is Adams’ second IWLCA Player of the Week accolade this season.
