IWLCA Players of the Week –March 17, 2026

NORTHBOROUGH, MASS. – The IWLCA has chosen nine student-athletes for the IWLCA Player of the Week awards for the week ending March 15, 2026. This weekly award recognizes the best offensive and defensive performances by players in Division I, II, III and the NAIA each week during the regular season.

Division I

Offensive Player of the Week
 Brigid Duffy—Army West Point

Duffy played a pivotal role in Army’s upset win over No. 17 Loyola Maryland, helping the Black Knights snap the Greyhounds’ undefeated run in Patriot League regular-season play. She led all scorers with six goals and added an assist for seven points, while also contributing four ground balls, three caused turnovers, and four draw controls. Duffy finished with seven shots, placing all seven on goal, and recorded her 300th career point—becoming one of just nine active NCAA players to reach the milestone. Her six goals marked the highest single-game total in the Patriot League this week.

Defensive Player of the Week

Teagan Scott—Clemson University

Scott anchored Clemson’s defense in a 12–10 win over No. 21 Virginia, totaling six caused turnovers, seven ground balls, and one draw control. The performance marked her eighth consecutive game with multiple caused turnovers, while her seven ground balls set a new single-game high this season. Scott’s six caused turnovers were also her second-highest total in a game this year. She currently leads the nation with 36 caused turnovers. This is Scott’s second IWLCA Player of the Week accolade this season.

Division II

Offensive Player of the Week
Mary Kate Person—University of Tampa

Mary Kate Person had a dominant week, leading Tampa’s offense in two ranked wins. She scored 13 goals and added three assists, contributing to nearly half of the team’s total scoring (16 of 33 goals). She was highly efficient, placing almost every shot on target (about 94% accuracy), including a seven-goal performance against No. 12 Pace and a six-goal game against No. 13 Wingate. Beyond scoring, she also contributed with two ground balls and a caused turnover.

Defensive Player of the Week

Marianna Dick—Westminster University

Dick anchored Westminster’s defense in a standout weekend, leading the team to major upsets over No. 15 Regis University and the UCCS. She was a disruptive force, highlighted by a program-record seven caused turnovers in a single game, breaking her own record. Dick also reached major career milestones, surpassing 100 ground balls and 100 caused turnovers, while already holding multiple program records in those categories. This is Dick's second IWLCA Player of the Week accolade of the season.

Division III

Co-Offensive Player of the Week
 Caroline Adams—Middlebury College

Adams was the sparkplug for Middlebury as the No. 1 Panthers defeated a pair of ranked opponents. The senior totaled 13 points on seven goals and six assists while winning 14 draws. Adams opened the slate with a career-high eight points (3G, 5A) in a 10-4 win over No. 24 Trinity and added eight draw controls. Against No. 10 Franklin and Marshall, Adams scored four times, had one assist, and six draws in a 16-2 victory. Adams is Middlebury’s leader in points (27) and assists (11).

Co-Offensive Player of the Week

Hannah Van Son—Washington and Lee University

Van Son played a clutch role in a major upset over No. 5 York, leading No. 12 Washington and Lee to victory. She scored six goals, including two critical late goals to force overtime and the game-winning goal in overtime. She also had eight draw controls, showing her impact in all phases of the game.

Defensive Player of the Week

Gillian Gladden—Randolph-Macon College

Gladden delivered an outstanding week in goal for Randolph-Macon. She opened with a full 60-minute performance, recording nine saves on 20 shots faced for a 56.3% save percentage, earning her fifth win of the season. On Saturday against Meredith, Gladden was a force in net, stopping 11 of 17 shots for an impressive 73.3% save percentage. She consistently denied the Avenging Angels in close-range situations, making multiple critical saves to preserve the Yellow Jackets’ lead.

NAIA

Offensive Player of the Week
 Lorelei Siegel—Benedictine College

Siegel delivered an outstanding week, highlighted by scoring the overtime game-winner in a national championship rematch against No. 2 University of the Cumberlands. Across three games, she totaled thirteen goals and six assists for nineteen points. In addition to her offensive production, she made a strong all-around impact with nine ground balls and nine caused turnovers.

Defensive Player of the Week

Maddie Reel—Bethel University (Ind.)

Reel, a senior goalie from Noblesville, Indiana, led Bethel to its first conference win over Madonna University with a strong performance in goal, recording 10 saves to anchor the team’s defense.
