IWLCA Players of the Week –March 10, 2026

NORTHBOROUGH, MASS. – The IWLCA has chosen eight student-athletes for the IWLCA Player of the Week awards for the week ending March 8, 2026. This weekly award recognizes the best offensive and defensive performances by players in Division I, II, III and the NAIA each week during the regular season.

Division I

Offensive Player of the Week
 Chloe Humphrey—University of North Carolina

Humphrey continued her standout sophomore campaign with 12 goals and four assists in two ranked wins for the Tar Heels. She opened the week by matching her career highs with seven goals and nine points against No. 11 Clemson, adding two assists, two ground balls, and five caused turnovers. Humphrey followed with five goals, two assists, and four caused turnovers in a win over No. 21 Pitt. She now leads the nation with 36 goals and ranks second nationally with 51 points.

Defensive Player of the Week

Abby Beran—University of Connecticut

Beran continued her dominant defensive play in UConn’s 12–8 road win over UMass, finishing with six caused turnovers, five ground balls, three draw controls, and a goal. The performance helped hold UMass to a season-low eight goals and earned Beran her third BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week honor. She currently ranks third in the nation in ground balls per game (5.50) and caused turnovers (3.50).

Division II

Offensive Player of the Week
Paige Moreland—East Stroudsburg University

Moreland delivered a record-setting performance against No. 14 Adelphi, tying the program’s single-game record (since 2004) with 11 points. The junior attacker posted career highs with five goals and six assists while placing five of her six shots on target and scoring on each one. Her standout effort helped lead East Stroudsburg to its most goals in a game and the largest margin of victory over a ranked opponent in program history.

Defensive Player of the Week

Gianna Guzek—Maryville University

Guzek led the defensive effort in Maryville’s 15–6 victory over No. 21 Grand Valley State, recording a season-high 12 saves. She also denied four free-position attempts and finished the game with an impressive .667 save percentage.

Division III

Offensive Player of the Week
 Wynne Boggan—University of Chicago

Boggan delivered an outstanding performance on Saturday, leading the University of Chicago to the first top-10 victory in program history with an 18–15 win over No. 8 Denison. Boggan scored five goals and added two assists to finish with a team-high seven points, powering the Maroons’ offense throughout the contest. She also dominated the draw circle, recording nine draw controls to help Chicago secure a decisive 23–12 advantage in draws. The Maroons’ 18 goals marked the most goals allowed by Denison since surrendering 22 to No. 4 Tufts in the 2024 NCAA Sweet Sixteen.

Defensive Player of the Week

Madison Rothwein—Rowan University

Rothwein delivered a dominant two-way performance during a 2–0 week for No. 23 Rowan, highlighted by a 13–11 road win over No. 14 Stevens. Across the two contests, Rothwein recorded 12 draw controls, five caused turnovers, and 10 ground balls, playing a key role in controlling possession for the Profs on both ends of the field. She also contributed offensively with four goals, including the go-ahead score in the fourth quarter against Stevens that broke a 10–10 tie. In Rowan’s 15–7 victory over Ursinus, Rothwein tallied eight draw controls and three caused turnovers. She currently leads the team with 23 draw controls this season and was also named NJAC Defensive Player of the Week.

NAIA

Offensive Player of the Week
 Jia Schweigert—Keiser University

Schweigert delivered an outstanding performance to lead Keiser to a 20–12 victory over Division III Kean University. Schweigert totaled five points on the day, scoring three goals and adding two assists to power the Seahawks’ offense. She recorded seven shots, placing five on goal for a 71.4% shot-on-goal percentage, and also converted her lone free-position attempt of the game.

Defensive Player of the Week

Koral Hadac—University of the Cumberlands

Hadac played a pivotal role in helping the Patriots secure a pair of victories during the week, totaling nine caused turnovers and seven ground balls across the two games. She opened the week with four caused turnovers and three ground balls while helping hold No. 8 Indiana Tech’s leading scorer from a season ago—and a First Team All-American—to just one assist in the contest. Hadac followed that performance with five caused turnovers and four ground balls in a win over UHSP, continuing to anchor the Patriots’ defensive effort.
