IWLCA Players of the Week – February 24, 2026

NORTHBOROUGH, MASS. – The IWLCA has chosen six student-athletes for the IWLCA Player of the Week awards for the week ending February 22, 2026. This weekly award recognizes the best offensive and defensive performances by players in Division I, II, and the NAIA.

Division I

Offensive Player of the Week
 Clark Hamilton—University of Florida

Hamilton powered No. 10 Florida to two ranked wins—a 17–13 victory over No. 19 Loyola and a 14–13 win over No. 8 Clemson. Against Loyola, she set career highs with seven goals, four assists, and 11 points, tying the program record for points in a game and setting the sophomore class record. She followed with four goals and two assists versus Clemson, again demonstrating her ability to impact the game as both a scorer and facilitator. Across the two contests, Hamilton totaled 11 goals and six assists, showcasing elite offensive efficiency and composure in key moments.

Defensive Player of the Week

Lainey McGonagle—University of Pittsburgh

McGonagle totaled five ground balls and 10 caused turnovers across two games, beginning with an overtime matchup against No. 23 Penn State and followed by a 10–8 win over Virginia Tech. Her six caused turnovers versus Penn State tied the program’s single-game record. Averaging 3.0 caused turnovers per game, McGonagle ranks second in the ACC and among the top 15 nationally, helping power a Panther defense that sits 12th in the country in caused turnovers per game.

Division II

Offensive Player of the Week
 Helen Bae—Maryville University

Bae became Maryville’s all-time points leader, raising her career total to 273 to surpass the previous mark of 268 held by Sydney Tiemann. She opened the week with four goals and two assists in a win at No. 14 Regis, adding 13 draw controls to tie for the fourth-most in a single game in program history. Bae followed with three goals and three assists in a victory at UC Colorado Springs, while also contributing seven draw controls and four ground balls.

Defensive Player of the Week

Marianna Dick—Wesminster University

Dick matched the program’s single-game record with six caused turnovers—marking the fourth time in her career she has reached that total. She currently leads NCAA Division II in caused turnovers per game and has helped Westminster rank No. 2 nationally in the team category. Dick also posted seven ground balls in the contest, placing her second in Division II in ground balls per game. Known for her disciplined, high-pressure defense, she consistently disrupts opponents while limiting fouls. Beyond the box score, Dick is a key piece of Westminster’s transition game and helped the team achieve an 85% clear rate in the win.

NAIA

Offensive Player of the Week
 Ashlee Baker—University of the Cumberlands

Baker paced the Patriots to a pair of road wins, totaling seven goals and nine points on the week. She scored four goals in the victory over No. 10 Ave Maria and followed with three goals and two assists against (RV) St. Thomas. Baker finished the week with an efficient 70% shooting percentage while adding two ground balls.

Defensive Player of the Week

Lizzie Belton—Keiser University

Belton anchored the defense in a tightly contested 14–10 battle against No. 6 Reinhardt. She recorded a career-high six caused turnovers—tied for the second-most in program history—while also collecting four ground balls in the matchup.
