IWLCA Players of the Week –April 28, 2026

NORTHBOROUGH, MASS. – The IWLCA has chosen eight student-athletes for the IWLCA Player of the Week awards for the week ending April 26, 2026. This weekly award recognizes the best offensive and defensive performances by players in Division I, II, III and the NAIA each week during the regular season.

Division I

Offensive Player of the Week
Chloe Humphrey—University of North Carolina

Humphrey dominated the ACC Tournament en route to MVP honors, totaling 13 goals and eight assists across three games while adding two ground balls and a caused turnover. During the run, she set UNC single-season records for both goals (92) and points (133). Humphrey currently leads the nation in both categories and ranks among the national leaders in assists with 41. This is Humphrey’s fourth IWLCA Player of the Week accolade this season.

Defensive Player of the Week

Jenika Cuocco—Northwestern University

Cuocco was named Big Ten Tournament Most Outstanding Player after leading No. 2 Northwestern to the title with wins over No. 8 Michigan and No. 4 Maryland. She recorded a program-record 18 saves in the championship game against Maryland, including three clutch, game-extending stops in overtime to secure the victory. This is Cuocco’s second IWLCA Player of the Week accolade this season.

Division II

Offensive Player of the Week
Paige Murphy—Maryville University

Murphy helped No. 9 Maryville secure the No. 2 seed in the GLVC Tournament with a standout week, highlighted by a nine-point performance in a win over No. 24 Rockhurst. Across two games, she totaled 14 goals and four assists while adding eight draw controls and four ground balls. Murphy also surpassed the 100-point mark for the season, reaching 105.

Defensive Player of the Week

Brigit Goetsch—Regis University (CO)

Goetsch earned RMAC Tournament MVP honors after leading Regis to a RMAC Championship. She surpassed 500 career saves and helped the Rangers build an 11–0 halftime lead in the title game. Across two games, Goetsch recorded 18 saves and added seven ground balls, anchoring a dominant defensive effort.

Division III

Offensive Player of the Week
Marissa Lucca—The College of New Jersey

Lucca closed out the regular season with a dominant two-game stretch, totaling 14 goals and eight assists while adding eight caused turnovers to help No. 18 TCNJ clinch the NJAC regular-season title. She recorded a 12-point performance against Stockton with seven goals and five assists, along with five caused turnovers and four ground balls, before adding seven goals and three assists in a road win at No. 17 Rowan. Lucca also reached the 300-point milestone, becoming just the fifth player in program history to do so, and joined an elite group as one of only three players in school history with multiple 100-point seasons.

Defensive Player of the Week

Janey Sypeck—William Smith College

Sypeck anchored the Herons’ defense in a 10–5 win over No. 6 Washington and Lee, recording four caused turnovers and three ground balls. She helped limit the Generals to a season-low five goals and 15 shots, well below their 15.13 goals-per-game average entering the contest. Sypeck leads William Smith with 40 caused turnovers and 37 ground balls this season and ranks sixth on the program’s single-season caused turnovers list.

NAIA

Offensive Player of the Week
Annie Dhabliwala—Ave Maria University

Dhabliwala set a new program record for single-season goals (58) and moved into second place in single-season points in school history. Over a two-game stretch this past week, she totaled 14 points on nine goals and five assists, while also adding 10 draw controls and five ground balls.

Defensive Player of the Week

Koral Hadac—University of the Cumberlands

Hadac earns Defensive Player of the Week after leading the Patriots to the AAC Tournament title. She recorded 12 caused turnovers and nine ground balls across two games, including a dominant semifinal performance (7 CTs, 8 GBs) and a strong showing in the finals (5 CTs). Hadac played a key role in a defense that held opponents to just four goals per game and limited Reinhardt to its lowest scoring output in over a year. She was also crucial in transition play, helping secure back-to-back tournament championships for UC. This is Hadac’s third IWLCA Player of the Week honor this season.
