IWLCA Players of the Week –April 21, 2026

NORTHBOROUGH, MASS. – The IWLCA has chosen 11 student-athletes for the IWLCA Player of the Week awards for the week ending April 19, 2026. This weekly award recognizes the best offensive and defensive performances by players in Division I, II, III and the NAIA each week during the regular season.

Division I

Co-Offensive Player of the Week
Chloe Humphrey—University of North Carolina

Humphrey delivered another dominant outing in UNC’s 11–5 win over Duke, tallying seven goals and three assists to factor in 10 of the Tar Heels’ 11 goals. She also added a ground ball and a caused turnover in the victory. On the season, Humphrey leads the nation with 79 goals and 112 points, while her 33 assists rank among the top performers nationally. This is Humphrey's third IWLCA Player of the Week accolade this season.

Co-Offensive Player of the Week

Jane Trauger—University of Vermont

Trauger tied the program record with eight goals and set a career high with 10 points in a standout performance against American East leaders UAlbany. She became just the fifth Catamount in program history to score eight goals in a game.

Defensive Player of the Week

Racheli Levy-Smith—College of the Holy Cross

Levy-Smith totaled 10 draw controls, four caused turnovers, and three ground balls in Holy Cross’s win over No. 17 Loyola, marking the program’s first-ever victory over a ranked opponent. She helped the Crusaders edge the Greyhounds 13–12 in the draw circle. Earlier in the week, Levy-Smith added 15 draw controls and two caused turnovers against No. 14 Army.


Division II

Offensive Player of the Week
Sadie Kauffman—East Stroudsburg University

Kauffman continued her dominant season, leading No. 5 ESU to wins over Shippensburg and Shepherd. She tied her career high with eight goals and added two assists for her third 10-point game of the season against the Raiders, while recording a program-record 14 draw controls—accounting for 14 of the team’s 19. She followed with four goals and four draw controls in the win at Shepherd. Kauffman earned her fifth PSAC East Athlete of the Week honor this season, setting the program’s single-season record with nine career weekly awards across her first two seasons. This is Kauffman’s second IWLCA Player of the Week accolade this season.

Defensive Player of the Week

Julia Barbato—Saint Michael's College

Barbato posted 10 ground balls and 10 caused turnovers while aiding a defense that recorded a 6.00 GAA during a 2-0 week. She notched four caused turnovers and three ground balls in a 14-9 win at Franklin Pierce on Wednesday before adding seven ground balls and six caused turnovers - matching the most by an NE10 player over the past two seasons - in a 17-3 win at AIC on Saturday.


Division III

Co-Offensive Player of the Week
Julia Daly—Gettysburg College

Daly led Gettysburg to a 3–0 week while setting a new program record for career goals, breaking a 30-year-old mark. She totaled 21 points across three games with 11 goals and 10 assists. Daly opened with three goals and three assists at Dickinson, then recorded back-to-back hat tricks—five goals and three assists against Swarthmore, followed by three goals and four assists versus Catholic. She also contributed seven ground balls and three caused turnovers during the week.

Co-Offensive Player of the Week

Alyssa Gorny—University of Rochester

Gorny powered Rochester to a 3–0 week, scoring all three game-winning goals as the Yellowjackets improved to 11–4 overall and 7–2 in conference play. The senior totaled 11 goals and six assists while adding 17 draw controls, nine ground balls, and seven caused turnovers. She recorded five goals and two assists at Utica, followed with five goals and three assists against Skidmore, and netted the game-winner in the final two minutes versus RPI. During the week, Gorny set program records for career draw controls and game-winning goals, while also tying the single-season points record.

Co-Defensive Player of the Week

Caitie Baker—William Smith College

Baker anchored the Herons’ defense in a 2–0 Liberty League weekend, totaling five caused turnovers and five ground balls as William Smith held RPI and Union to a combined 6.5 goals per game. She recorded three caused turnovers and a ground ball in a 19–6 win over RPI, then added two caused turnovers and a season-high four ground balls in a 12–7 victory over Union to clinch the Liberty League regular-season title. A starter in all 16 games, Baker has totaled 26 caused turnovers and 21 ground balls this season.

Co-Defensive Player of the Week

Izzy Weintraub—Wesleyan University

Weintraub delivered a career performance with 12 saves while allowing just three goals for a .800 save percentage in Wesleyan’s 11–3 win over No. 18 Williams, securing the 2026 Little Three Championship. She anchored a defensive effort that held Williams scoreless for over 43 consecutive minutes, including two full quarters, while making seven straight saves during that stretch. Weintraub also added two ground balls as the Cardinals limited Williams to its lowest goal total of the season and in series history.


NAIA

Offensive Player of the Week
Ella Grace Geidd—Marian University

Giedd recorded seven points on three goals and four assists in Marian’s big win over No. 10 Lawrence Tech, helping secure at least a share of the WHAC regular season title.

Defensive Player of the Week

Olivia Dean—Marian University

Dean recorded seven caused turnovers and one ground ball against No. 10 Lawrence Tech in her efforts to lead Marian to at least a share of the WHAC regular season title. This is Dean's second IWLCA Player of the Week accolade this season.
