Flagler Leads Division II as NCAA Tournament Bracket Takes Shape
NORTHBOROUGH, Mass.— Flagler remains the top team in Division II and enters the NCAA Tournament as the No. 2 seed in the South Region. With a first-round bye, the Saints will host the winner of Saint Leo and Young Harris on May 7.
Florida Southern holds steady at No. 2 and is the No. 1 seed in the South Region. The Moccasins also earned a first-round bye and will host the winner of the No. 4 Tampa vs. No. 5 Embry-Riddle matchup.
UIndy checks in at No. 3 after powering past Missouri Western and No. 8 Maryville to capture the GLVC title—its fifth in the last six seasons. The Greyhounds are the No. 1 seed in the Midwest Region and will face the winner of Grand Valley State and Ashland.
Slippery Rock makes a jump to No. 4 after claiming its first PSAC title in program history with an 11–10 win over No. 15 Kutztown. With a perfect 20–0 record, the Rock enter the NCAA Tournament as the No. 1 seed in the Atlantic Region and will face the winner of the Kutztown–Wingate matchup.
Rounding out the Top 5 is Tampa, the defending national champion.
In total, 25 teams are represented in the poll, with voters—college coaches from across the nation—reflecting the latest results across women’s lacrosse. The rankings are based on weekly performances, with the final poll of the regular season serving as the poll.
The final poll of the 2026 season will be released upon the conclusion of all NCAA Women’s Lacrosse Championships.
