Flagler Claims GSC Title, Remains No. 1 in Division II Poll

NORTHBOROUGH, Mass.— Flagler continues to lead Division II, holding the No. 1 spot after capturing the Gulf South Conference Tournament title this past weekend. The Saints defeated No. 23 Alabama Huntsville, 17–11, in Sunday’s final after a dominant semifinal win over Lee. With the victory, Flagler secured its fourth consecutive GSC title and the conference’s automatic bid to the NCAA Division II Women’s Lacrosse Championship. The Saints improve to 19–0 and remain one of just three undefeated teams in Division II.

Florida Southern (17–1, 7–0 SSC) remains locked in at No. 2 after an impressive week, rolling past No. 8 Embry-Riddle before defeating No. 6 Tampa, 11–8, to claim its fifth Sunshine State Conference Tournament title. The Moccasins earned the SSC’s automatic bid and will learn their NCAA Tournament placement during Sunday’s selection show.

UIndy holds the No. 3 spot after closing out the regular season with a 2–0 week, defeating Missouri Western (19–5) and Quincy (24–3) to finish 15–1 overall and 7–0 in GLVC play. The Greyhounds will host the GLVC Tournament for the first time since 2023.

East Stroudsburg checks in at No. 4 after completing a perfect 17–0 regular season, highlighted by an overtime win over West Chester to secure the PSAC East regular-season title and the No. 1 seed in the division. The Warriors will host Lock Haven in the PSAC Quarterfinals on Tuesday.

Tampa rounds out the Top 5. The Spartans sit at 12–5 following a 1–1 week and now await their NCAA Tournament fate.

In total, 25 teams are represented in the poll, with voters—college coaches from across the nation—reflecting the latest results across women’s lacrosse. The rankings are based on weekly performances, with the poll set to be released each Monday throughout the season.
