Nomination Information

The Hall of Fame Committee reviews nominations submitted each year for inclusion in the annual IWLCA Hall of Fame Induction class. The committee follows a standard timeline each year:

2027 Nomination and Selection Timeline

The class of 2027 will be selected according to the following timeline:

• Nomination Deadline: August 15, 2026
• Honoree Notification: By October 15, 2026
• Announcement of 2027 Hall of Fame Class: November 2026
• 2027 Hall of Fame Induction: November 2027

Nomination Process

• Any IWLCA member, IWLCA emeritus member, University administrator, current or former player, or current or former umpire may nominate an eligible coach.
•  Nominations should be submitted electronically using the IWLCA Hall of Nomination Form.
•  Nominations must include two letters of support from members of the lacrosse community that can attest to the nominee’s qualifications and character. All supporting information must be submitted to the chair of the IWLCA Hall of Fame Selection committee via nomination form, or e-mail.
•  Any requests for additional information made by the chair of the Hall of Fame Selection committee must be met within 14 days of the request or the nomination will be deemed incomplete.
•  Incomplete nominations will not be considered by the Hall of Fame Selection committee.
•  Any nominations received after the deadline will not be considered for induction in that calendar year but will automatically be considered for induction in the subsequent year.
•  If a candidate is not selected for induction in the year of their initial nomination, their nomination materials will remain on file for consideration in subsequent selection cycles.
  

Nomination Criteria

Eligibility Criteria

•  Candidate must have at least 15 years of experience coaching collegiate women’s lacrosse; AND
•  Candidate is eligible for nomination 20 years after they began their collegiate coaching career; AND
•  Candidate must be a person of high character and adhere to IWLCA ethical standards.

 Achievement Criteria

•  To be eligible, nominees must have achieved two (2) of the five (5) criteria listed below during their collegiate coaching career:
•  Winning Percentage (career): Achieve a career winning percentage of .650 or higher
•  Total Wins: Achieve 200 career victories or more as a head coach
•  Coach of the Year Awards (Conference/Regional/National): Earn one (1) National; or two (2) Regional; or three (3) Conference Coach of the Year Awards
•  Championships Won (Conference/NCAA/NAIA/AIAW): One (1) National Championship Victory; or two (2) National Semi-Finalist Appearances; or three (3) Conference Championships
•  Post-Season Championship Appearances (either NCAA, NAIA, or AIAW): Appeared in five (5) national championship tournament fields

 *If an individual does not satisfy the established criteria, but the Hall of Fame Selection Committee unanimously determines that a nominee is worthy of consideration for the IWLCA Hall of Fame, the nominee may be forwarded to the IWLCA Board of Directors for approval to be considered by the Selection Committee.
